A Brief History
Al-Bokhari Centre
Al-Bokhari Education Centre was founded in 1989 by Mr. & Mrs. Bokhari to provide supplementary religious and cultural education.
A number of our pupils come from disadvantaged backgrounds and are aged from 3 to 15 years. A mainstream primary and secondary schools.
We hope the education we provide can instil in them an appreciation of learning, progress and, achievement.
To this end, we have attempted to provide a literate environment for all our activities and, we hope ultimately these pupils can be productive, educated members of our society.
Our belief is that they must be proud of their own cultural heritage and we celebrate the fact that they are all of mixed-ability.

We are registered with Birmingham City Council Education Services an follow teaching, learning and health and safety policies in all that we do.
We also have a history of extra- curricular excursions and community-based events alongside the many accolades we have gathered over this period.
The Centre is also ‘A Place for The Gathering of Religious Worship’. It holds regular spiritual congregations across the year. You can download a daily salah timetable along with a religious, year calendar.
We remain committed to cultural growth and understanding of children’s up-bringing in a ‘global village’. Regular community events for parents are organised. General information relating to the Centre is updated, regularly. Also held in the Mosque are Islamic Nikah Ceremonies for adults wishing to marry.
Al-Bokhari Education Centre is also known as Al-Bokhari Charity for its many projects for the poor living in Pakistan.
